The Oversized Conductor Issue

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of 2 and 4 Pair cables claiming to be RJ-45 compatible for a wide variety of applications........unfortunately, sometimes the CONDUCTORS ARE TOO BIG or the APPLICATION IS TOO DEMANDING. To solve these problems, Sentinel has developed a line of PATENTED RJ-45s that accomodate these applications.

RJ-45's for Siemens PROFINET Cables
Industrial Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCat or Factory Automation Applications
Will Work With FCC COMPLIANT Shrouds or IP 67 Rated Enclosures or Back Shells

The RJ-45 plugs shown below can be used with SIEMENS PROFINET cables that have CONDUCTOR OD's of 1.5mm (.059055") and in conjunction with M12 type connectors. Contacts are selectively loaded in positions 1, 2, 3 and 6 (standard Ethernet).
